Wanted to discover places from an early age

My desire to travel grew way back when I was growing up. My home was under a flight path. I saw dozens of planes coming in to land or taking off daily. I yearned to be part of these escapades. Years later a chance meeting with my early years teacher surprised me to the core when he remarked that I had always wished to travel the world as I used to say it every time he asked the question in class about “what we wanted to do when we grew up”

Beginning of a lifetime journey

February 1989 is when I set out into the world as part of my long career as cabin crew. This took me to virtually every continent of the world. Skies were not so busy then and long-haul flights meant long layovers. This gave me the opportunity to stay in some of the finest hotels in the world. All this became the defining moment of my passion to travel.

Fast forward 20 years later I left my flying career. I found myself stuck on the ground and it was difficult, I felt something was missing. I thus reverted back to my sky-living passion but this time as a normal passenger. Here I am today globetrotting for leisure. In my travel diaries I have come across a lot of exciting life experiences and I am eager to share with you all on my blog. I have learnt how to sit back at home and plan an entire trip with all the facts and figures. I have mastered well when to book flights and hotels and what season to go to different destinations. My travel adventures motto is “TO TRAVEL IS TO LIVE”
