This 4 star hotel has views of the Mersey River as it is located on a street running parallel to the river, right in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre. It is just 0.8 miles from the famous Albert Dock, where one can find, restaurants, bars, attractions including The Beatles Story.

Liverpool James Street Railway Station can be reached in 5 minutes on foot & has links to the rest of the city.

Most of Liverpool City tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. It is perfectly located for shopping, eating & sightseeing.

It is also close to the financial district. For shopping, the Liverpool One complex is just 10 minutes away on foot, and the cruise terminal also is nearby.

Rooms

Rooms are a generous size & clean

Most of all the frills, e.g. cushions or bed runners on beds have been removed to comply with Covid 19 cleaning protocols.

Many of the rooms are facing the river. The hotel is an excellent base for Liverpool City sightseeing.

Food at the hotel

Food & beverage offerings have been amended in accordance with Covid 19 requirements. Breakfast is being served in the Plaza Brasserie Plaza Brasserie or as room service to comply with Covid 19 measures.

A limited menu of lunch & dinner is being served in The Lounge area. Under normal circumstances the café specialises in British cuisine & serves brunch, lunch, dinner & light meals .

Harbour Leisure Club

The Leisure Club offers an 18 metre indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room, sauna, gymnasium & a beauty therapy suite offering a wide range of treatments.

Unfortunately due the Covid 19 pandemic only the swimming pool & gym were open in the Leisure Club. Since the hotel is practising social distancing measures one has to book their sessions for the pool & gym in advance.Pool session was 1 hour & gym session was 45 minutes.

• Fantastic customer service.
• Very clean.
• Riverside location means great water views from many spots.
• Leisure club with indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room & spa.
• Gym has Mersey River views.
• Onsite parking for a fee.
• Lounge/bar area is very modern.
• Foyer area and all downstairs is very spacious.
• Rooms facing dock.
• Cruise terminal is nearby.

Things I do not like

• Paying for car park.
• Bathroom too small & dated.
• Curtain in bathroom shower.
